The Providore is coming
Every since the erasure of Casa Pinocchio from the gastronomical cornucopia of choice in our town, Branxhomians have been wondering at the replacement with something better. Rumours have abounded about a restaurant where apprentice gourmet chefs provide an alternative to the closed Ringarooma post office using locally produced ingredients.
The Branxholm Flyer’s snub-nosed investigative reporter has rooted out the current plan.
Seasons Pantry will be opening a Providore on Sunday 12th Oct. However before they can start doing food they have to fit out the kitchen. In the interim they will have their food truck out the front as a pop up, but not on weekends, which is when they intend to open.
The initial business of will feature frozen meals available in Providore and will also offering a charcuterie platter on order. Exactly how this will be accomplished without a functioning kitchen and with the food truck on the road catering for events up until December (and beyond) is a work in progress, but the guarantee is that Providore “won’t be open won’t be open over the weekends just yet”.
