These walks do utilise Warrentinna and Walkers Roads which may be unpleasant if there is logging activity in the area. Especially the Big Loop which follows Walkers Road for a distance.
1. Black Louey’s Amble
Start at the creek crossing in the Gardens and walk up towards the big gum tree. Black Louey is rumoured to have ambled along this path on his last day. The path is marked with pink ribbons. It meanders through native forest and pine plantation to Duttons Road. Turn right at Duttons Road and proceed down through the native rain forest to Warrentinna Road. Turn right. After Warrentinna Road crosses Mara Creek there is a path that cuts through back to the Gardens.
2. The track GOING BACK
Follow Black Louey’s Amble until Duttons Road. Here you turn left and walk up the track to Walkers Road. Turning left down a steep descent to Whiskey Creek where the road flattens out. Soon after is a clearing on the left which is a logging trail that leads down back to Black Louey’s Amble (near the wobbly log that crosses Whiskey Creek). Here you turn right and retrace your steps to the Gardens.
3. The Big Loop
Take the the Track Going Back, but continue along Walkers Lane. The road pleasantly undulates through pine plantation and traffic is unlikely. When you reach Black Louey Lane you have a choice. You can return via the lane or follow the line of the pine plantation for a shadier stroll to the ford. At the ford Black Louey Lane will be muddy if there has been recent rain. Continue along Black Louey Lane to see an expansive perspective of the property.
On weekends there is a risk of a horde of young motorcyclists who perambulate the lane for a few minutes. If you are disposed to a fascination with machinery and noise this may be an additional attraction.
4. MIX IT up
As can be seen from the map, it is your choice. You can go in the opposite direction or retrace your steps, and see things from a different perspective.

These ideas are works in progress and any brave sole handy with a sickle, pruner or chainsaw is welcome to be supervised by Tad in extending his network of delight.
